Some wind came thru the legs, but overall I was warm enough during my walk. These are stretchy and I expect them to loosen in between washings. I have the straps all the way tightened due to my height, and the bottoms cinched to avoid any possible dragging on the ground. These are a winter overall, not spring, summer or fall. When I received them in October, and it was 40 degrees Fahrenheit or warmer, these were too warm, and I generally run warm.
These are not water proof but will do the job they got wet last night during shoveling but dried fairly quickly, maybe within hours.
