I think not. I thought it was a bit silly until we lived in the USA, went to our first Halloween house party, and experienced the fun of dressing up in costume and partying with friends. I was shocked at the lengths people went to, not just with their costumes, but decorating their homes with garden cemeteries, spooky light shows, and haunted mazes.
And then our kids came along, and we experienced the joy of trick or treating.
