Sometimes things are exactly the way you hear them, without metaphors and related meanings. Like, for example, the recently opened swimming pool and wellness center at Sheraton Bucharest. Curious and always looking for beautiful places to relax, as soon as I find out the Sheraton is preparing something, I started to discover the hidden blue treasure in the middle of the city, meanwhile one of the busiest traffic areas. But, each step inside the hotel, after passing the lobby, it was more and more quiet, a calming atmosphere started surrounding me, leading to the wellness floor aka Skyview space.
I have found here a warm, cozy, comfortable place with a good size pool for relaxation or hydro massage sessions, a space with great panoramic views of both the city and the sky. The panorama over the beautiful old houses from city center is indeed captivating.
Quiet, warm water, intimate ambiance are the essential ingredients that make this my new favorite place in the city. And as night comes by, I enjoyed the Zen music swimming in the heated water blue pool and irresistibly attracted by the little lights covering the glass ceiling or comfortably relaxing on the lounge chair. The Skyview Pool is equipped with a water swimming against the current system quite strong, in my opinion , three hydro massage areas, and two cervical massage wells.
In the cold season, guests can relax only indoors, but soon, in the summer there will be opened an extension of the outdoor relaxation area, on the terrace. Thus, the Skyview swimming pool completes the Sheraton health area, consisting of the fitness room, wet and dry sauna which has been totally upgraded, equipped with state-of-the-art appliances as well as the SPA area β two massage rooms. The Spa Menu is extended, offering around 25 massages Asian or classic ones β deep tissue, hot stones, bamboo, Balinese, Lomi Lomi, Shiatsu, reflex therapy, four hands β and also Oriental Collection rituals: organic body treatments such as Jasmin Lulur with exfoliation and yoghurt wrap or Polynesia Ritual.
Prices start from lei for 50 minutes massage. My choice was an Aromatherapy massage , inspired by traditional rituals, made by Ayu, one of the Balinese therapists form Thaico team. The journey to serenity started with a flower feet bath, followed by a combined relaxation and press puncture massage made with magnolia essential oil, to relief accumulated stress and anxiety.
