A Trip to Thailand As part of my job each year at the beginning of June we have an official off-site get together bringing all the pacific team members together somewhere locally in Asia. This year the potentials were Beijing Shanghai Palau or Phuket. Thailand got the nod at the last moment primarily due to the somewhat direct flight accessibility that Phuket offers to other countries in the immediate proximity. So time to do some research β Thailand , officially the Kingdom of Thailand, formerly known as Siam is a country at the centre of the Indochina peninsula in Southeast Asia.

Thai people are incredibly friendly, and many smile at you on the street. But most of the times, they look at you, and if your eyes meet and you smile, THEN they smile back right away. More likely they just trying to get by and make a living. I take travel opportunity as they are presented and was keen to visit a Mona Vale golfing buddy now semi-residing south of Bangkok.
The plan was to visit him taking in some of the sites and get a tad of golf played during this progression. My plan was to tack this on after working commitments. Flight preparations made this difficult so it was decided to incorporate the visit early and roll into work following, hence the unusual itinerary! So the plan decided was departing Sydney Wed 3 rd June flying direct to Bangkok.
