We have more newsletters. The Princess of Wales has shared two poignant photographs and an inspiring message to mark World Cancer Day. Princess Kate , who is currently in remission from cancer, took to social media to post the images. One of them shows her standing resilient amidst frost-covered woodland β a photo captured by her six-year-old son Prince Louis.
Accompanying another image she took in Windsor herself, featuring a frosty leaf, was the message: "Don't forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease. As World Cancer Day is marked on Tuesday February 4 , these photos are said to hold a special significance.
They highlight the princess's deep connection with nature throughout a challenging year marked by her cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy treatment. Kate, 43, has previously shared her belief in the "power of nature" for supporting people's overall wellbeing by promoting joy and maintaining physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Her reflections on the therapeutic impact of the natural world were particularly heartfelt last July. During chemotherapy sessions when she shared support for the opening of the Natural History Museum's new gardens, she said: "I know the power of nature to support our development and wellbeing, both by bringing us joy and helping to keep us physically, mentally and spiritually healthy.
Kate has shared an uplifting update and a series of photos just weeks after announcing she was in remission from cancer, following an emotional return to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London where she underwent her treatment. After fighting the disease since her diagnosis last February, she now describes herself as being in remission for the first time, acknowledging the transition to a "new normal" while expressing excitement for a "fulfilling year ahead", reports the Mirror.
