The woman has decided that rather than giving it up to some guy for free and it being awkward, embarassing, or pointless, she'd be better off auctioning it off to the highest bidder and making a profit. Don't see the problem here unless she's being forced to against her will,and no, being in debt doesn't count as against her will.
