The Kiwanis Club of Lehigh Acres ended with several activities. On Friday, Dec. Dino provided a delicious spread of hot and cold subs and desserts. Janet made sure that glasses remained filled as everyone had a good time visiting and reviewing what our club has done and our plans for Saturday, Dec.
Thank you to our Lehigh Acres neighbors for their donations. Monday, Dec. Tina Pegler explained the traditions of Hanukah, Christmas and Kwanza through stories and songs. The children enjoyed loading their waffle bowls of ice cream with a variety of toppings. Then they were broken out by age group to visit Santa to receive a gift from their wish lists. This new year of will see a few changes as the club is looking at having a breakfast and a lunch informal but informative meetings along with their monthly evening meeting.
We are looking at local restaurants to hold from 10 to 20 members and guests for these meetings on Thursdays. On Jan. Each club shares what they are doing, enjoy a delicious lunch and hear from our Florida Kiwanis Governor, Prairy Riehl on her special project for the Florida clubs along with other special speakers.
The proceeds go to our projects, especially scholarships for those going on to college or technical schools. Details on what activities are coming up are available on our website or on our Facebook page. By Staff Jan 10,
