Osteopath D. After setting up and developing two osteopathic practices in France over a ten-year period, she decided to pursue her practice in Montreal, where she has now been for four years. With 14 years of experience under her belt and a passion for her work, Eve-Laure has asserted her expertise and osteopathic skills, which she strives to pass on and share.
Keen to continue training on a regular basis, she has taken part in numerous post-graduate courses, notably in pediatrics and pre- and post-partum. Thanks to her in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, Eve-Laure can perceive her patients' tensions and imbalances through precise and meticulous palpation, both for the treatment of symptoms and for the improvement of overall health.
She is also accustomed to working in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, developing team spirit and intra- and inter-professional communication for optimal care. Eve-Laure's osteopathic practice is gentle, and she makes it a point of honour to listen actively and sympathetically to her patients. Osteopathy is above all a therapy that considers the whole human being, with his or her physical and mechanical capacities, but also his or her ability to think and feel.
During this double degree course, she studied the impact of our environment on our movements and our ability to move. Understanding the environment in which we live, with its habits and emotions, plays an important role in the management of each individual's pain. Listening and caring are therefore essential qualities in her osteopathic practice.
Establishing a climate of trust is essential for effective treatment, and can generate positive emotions that are part of the healing dynamic. As a traveller, she found the opportunity to practice with an NGO in Cambodia, where she was able to offer her osteopathic treatments to students at a circus school, helping them recover from intensive training or injury. Back in France, she continued to provide osteopathic care in the sports field to a rugby team, guiding them during training sessions and on the field during competitions.
