I use a mix of swedish massage techniques with an influence of Lomi Lomi , shiatsu , and my own style which is a constant work in progress. I learn from every being I have the pleasure of meeting. I generally prefer to go slow and deep with conscious touch and tailor it to the individual as much as possible. There can be many reasons why people come for a massage:.
So I always sit down first with tea or water and encourage you to share with me whatever you feel necessary before we begin. I use apricot oil with or without a choice of essential oils. I have also occasionally received requests to listen to alternative audio during the massage such as podcasts. This i find the easiest to experience in nature, through dance, which was my previous profession for about 20 years, through painting and music to name a few.
All these things have an influence on my approach to bodywork. Clarence my Sphynx cat, who will be in the room during the massage sleeping or demanding her fourth dinner ,is a constant inspiration, my greatest companion and a magical wee soul who may even grace you with her attention. There are often many expectations that we experience from our surroundings or from ourselves.
Many we could probably let go. I want to provide a space where you can do that. And relax.. Let it go. This is also not some sterile pseudo spiritual place where we have to be deadly serious the whole time.
