CW3 Stephen B. Childers [CE]. Fuselage continued to travel, spinning three times before impacting and coming to rest at the tree base approx ' of the initial point of impact and the xmsn collapsed into the crew compartment.
CW4 G. Shaw III. Investigation determined that the direct cause was spatial disorientation likely induced by crew failing to effectively transition from VMC to IMC in weather conditions that had lower ceilings and less visibility than they had been briefed as the minimum weather conditions authorized to conduct the mission.
