Where do you want me to sit? Blanc is very modest and down-to-earth, no matter how impressive his accomplishments and achievements are. Blanc only excelled in comedy. Is it one of your favorite films? When I was young, I watched a lot of old and pre-War II movies on television, films that Julien Duvivier and his contemporaries had made. I prefer to watch one reel of a Duvivier film instead of a film by Claude Chabrol.
It made him an original filmmaker. In the early s, you could watch all the masterpieces on television, and I almost grew up with all those great actors. On the other hand, some actors never had the opportunity to explore what film history has to offer, nor did they ever go to drama school, and they do everything their own wayβand it works beautifully.
Those actors got une nature , but since they lack this historical background or this foundation, it might be more difficult for them to stay in the limelight for a long time.
