Our programs take place in our Environmental Education Center, and we use other parts of the site, like boardwalks, outdoor spaces, and a park owned by the City of Jacksonville, to help people learn. Sturgeon City is perfect for business conferences, meeting space, rehearsal dinners, weddings, private parties, trainings and much more! Our goal is to become a model for getting young people interested in leadership, community service, habitat restoration, environmental education, and taking care of the New River and coastal wetlands.
We have 4 themes to pick from. Our birthday parties are 3 hours long, which include 1. Take a parachute blast off to an unknown planet, where children will blast off their own rocket and enjoy a planetarium show in our mobile planetarium! Come dig for sharks teeth, make a fossil and crack open a geode!
The sharks teeth students find, the fossils made and the geode can be taken home. Children will become scientists for the party. They will make elephant toothpaste, discover the different states of matter, and find out what happens when solids and liquids combine! Join us for some Lego fun! Activities will include a Lego marble maze, make your own Lego ring toss game, and more fun Lego challenges! For year old only. This includes 1. You must provide all decorations and food. We will provide decorations, paper goods, cake, ice cream, and drinks.
