Most production studios are smaller than they appear on TV. The audience is no more than 20 or 30 feet away from the actors or talk show host, so you can count on it being a very intimate experience. Tapings can last from hours, and you might have to wait outside in line before the taping.
Food is usually prohibited inside the studio, so eat a large meal right before or a snack while waiting in line. The easiest way to get tickets is online via an audience services company.
