Home Doctors Daniel Y. Choi, M. Daniel Choi, M. He was born and raised in California and attended UCLA where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in physiology. After this, Dr. Choi went to Stanford University to complete his ophthalmology residency where he served as Chief Resident.
These medical organizations focus on providing improved healthcare to the underserved international community. He has also been on multiple medical mission trips to Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Korea. Choi is also actively involved in ophthalmic research and has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and has presented his research at multiple national conferences.
Currently, his research interest remains primarily in the area of glaucoma and he is a specialist in the new field of minimally invasive glaucoma surgery MIGS. Choi has continued to pursue his passion for medical education by teaching glaucoma and cataract surgery to Stanford ophthalmology residents.
Choi is an adjunct clinical assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Choi enjoys spending time with his family, reading, listening to podcasts, and exploring the outdoors.
