All the relevant travel knowledge in the world is on the internet for free but the problem is in finding the right websites quickly and organizing them in a simple, straightforward manner.
Some websites claim to be the authority for the field or the major website in their field. Nothing on any website is simple and straightforward. I have yet to see a great, easy-to-use website where the knowledge I want is all there in a simple, straightforward manner.
I wrote the book both to provide one centralized clearinghouse for the entire realm of travel and leisure but the other reason is that it is part of my formula to stay young, to constantly stay inspired by exposing my mind to new ideas.
After I got about halfway through, I realized I had quite a book here compared to any other travel or recreation book so it took on a life of its own. It fulfilled some intellectual-spiritual quest within myself to know what exists out there that the world calls travel, fun and recreation.
I started writing this book a long time ago before my lust for travel had lost its luster for me which I discuss up ahead in the soul searching section.
