To make our Tassie debut even more memorable, we've invited some special guests along for the ride this year. The king of St Helens himself, Luca Brasi's Tyler Richardson will no doubt be inciting big sing-alongs along with the irresistible brand of melodic punk rock his band is known for , to the One Night Stand.
Having just finished a completely sold out tour of Australia with their killer record Stay , Richardson's performance chops are on ace form - what better way to wind down than with a spot on stage at home? Ball Park Music's Sam Cromack - a man who has successfully led the Brisbane group from Unearthed favourite status to becoming one of Australia's most beloved indie acts - will be dropping by for a dance behind the mic on Saturday night; what he'll be performing is being kept on the low but if you think back to the band's previous turns at Like A Version over the years Ruby Fields has had an epic ride herself since first uploading 'I Want' to Unearthed last year.
Emerging as one of the east coast's most buzz-worthy artists , Ruby's gone from being a regular on the The Shire's circuit, to hitting festival stages around the country and touring with the likes of Gang of Youths, this young artist is aiming for the bloody rafters with her infectious indie pop sounds. SAFIA vocalist and songwriter Ben Woolner will be jumping on stage at St Helens this year - chances of hypnotism by vocal quality alone ride high with this one.
Aussie festival favourites, SAFIA dominated at Splendour in the Grass this year and representin' for the Canberrans, Ben will be bringing some of that magic to Tassie this weekend - we can't wait. You may have caught his Splendour in the Grass set last month but if you haven't, Kwame is definitely a name you need to keep your eyes trained on at a venue near you sooner, rather than later. The Sydney rapper took out Unearthed's Splendour competition and with tracks like 'WOW' and 'No Time' under his belt, you best believe Kwame's just scratching the surface of his potential.
Have a listen below to hear him hint at who he'll be popping up with on the St Helens stage. The winner of 's triple j Unearthed High competition , Arno Faraji has brought the Aussie hip-hop scene a breath of fresh air from the west coast.
