Participants learn a brief history and basic chemistry of soapmaking, safety considerations when working with lye, accurate measurements and proper mixing temperatures, how to color soap naturally with herbs, spices and clays and more.

An estuarium is gathering place for learning and play. The 58th annual Fisharama fishing tournament on Amnicon Lake, organized by the Tri Lakes Community Center in the town of Summit, offers cash prizes for the longest live fish in three categories.
