We came back hoping to find some more, but the fences are all up and intact on that side of the island. There are gaps in the fence across the highway from both Gulf side parking lots now.
The only way in is to park at the end of the fencing and walk to the beach and head east to find action or boat, kayak, canoe, When it meets the lake, turn right, then take a quick left, over the dike, and into the park. Any luck, anyone? Just park on the north side and wait for the right cruiser to pass by.
