Effective November 1, , the DOC is launching a new mail delivery service. Visiting Department in Faribault has changes to the visiting schedule. Visiting is open Thursday β Sunday. MCF-Faribault consists of a medium-security facility and a minimum-security unit located outside the secure perimeter. Services include assessment, individual and group therapy, and crisis intervention. Visits can be scheduled in advance by calling or using the Online Scheduling Option. As this is a new process, instructions will be made available to the visitor when a visit is set up.
The visiting department does not have information about J-Pay video visit. All restrictive housing visits are non-contact and conducted via video. Duration is 1 hour. Please read Visiting Information prior to visits. Visits must be pre-scheduled at least four days in advance.
Visitor packets must be completed and submitted prior to scheduling a visit. Professional Visits are held on Thursdays from am β pm. These visits are held in Sierra Visiting and must be completed no later than pm. Privacy is given by limiting the visits to five per Thursday and spread throughout the visiting room.
If there is a non-contact visiting restriction the visit will take place in the non-contact area of the visiting room where the conversation will be held over a telephone with glass in between visitors. The incarcerated person may view necessary documents, but documents may not be left with them per visiting guidelines.
