LSS companion services provide customized support, transportation and friendship for older adults who want to live at home, stay healthy and remain as independent as possible.
We offer two companion services across Minnesota. Our Senior Companion service is available to qualifying older adults across Minnesota and North Dakota. Trained volunteers visit older adults each week and offer friendship, support at their homes and transportation to community activities. Neighbor to Neighbor Companions is an affordable private pay service available to anyone. Through this service, trained Neighbor to Neighbor Companions volunteers visit older adults in their home and provide friendship, assistance at home and transportation to community activities weekly.
Make a payment for this service online. LSS partners with AmeriCorps Seniors, a national service agency, to connect volunteers who are age 55 and older with the people and organizations that need them. We partner with other local nonprofits to create meaningful opportunities for older Minnesotans to use their talents, stay active and earn extra income.
We invite your organization to partner with us to support older adults through Senior Companion or children in the classroom through Foster Grandparents. Older Adults.
