My degree is in music education, and I worked as a freelance music teacher for six years before I decided I wanted more stability. I left teaching to work for a non-profit company. What did your friends and family think about you moving and teaching abroad? The one thing I heard over and over again was, "Wow! That's so brave! Teaching abroad will show you what you're made of and open your eyes to a broader perspective about life. If you are even mildly considering doing it, do it.
