On September 5, at around p. Upon entering the home, deputies reported finding a man lying dead on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds and expended bullet cartridges surrounding his body, which they presumed to be from a rifle. Additionally, while in the area, detectives stated that they found a year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg who confessed in an interview to being inside the brothel at the time of the killing.
Upon investigating the residence, deputies reported finding the door to the back of the home being broken with a bullet hole and a trail of blood through the backyard. The probable cause affidavit stated that PBSO uncovered through speaking with neighbors that the home is a brothel or prostitution location.
The neighbors told detectives that they witnessed two black males outside of the home wearing masks, one being armed with a handgun. The report stated that they also told detectives that they saw a white Toyota that was gone after they heard the gunshots. Due to the home being a known place of prostitution and criminal activity, PBSO stated that they had a surveillance camera already zoomed in on the residence at the time of the homicide.
According to officials, the surveillance footage showed a Chrysler pull up to the brothel with multiple people inside. Three people were seen exiting the car, one being a Hispanic teen, later identified as a year-old boy. The report notes that the teen was seen leaving the car with a handgun and phone in his hands. The footage then shows him approaching the brothel with his handgun tucked under his shirt, peaking through the windows while on the phone. The teen then proceeded to walk inside the brothel, the video showed.
